Suspected Witchcraft-Group Clash in Ganjam’s Badagada: 3- Killed, Several Injured (!)

Ganjam : A violent clash between two groups in Kharipalli village, Ganjam district, Odisha, has resulted in the death of three people, including a father and son. The incident, reportedly triggered by allegations of witchcraft, has sparked tension in the area. Police from Aska,Seragada,Dharakote Police stations have been deployed to maintain the Law and order.
The incident reveal at least three persons were killed and one sustained critical injuries following a violent group clash over suspicion of black magic at Kharipalli village under Badagada police limits in Ganjam district on Tuesday.
The deceased have been identified as Khadal Behera and his son Ratnakar Behera.
According to sources, a confrontation erupted between two groups in the village over allegations of black magic.
The clash resulted in the deaths of three persons, while Ramesh Behera from the opposing group was critically injured. He has been admitted to Aska and Bhanjanagar Sub-Divisional Hospital for treatment.
Upon being informed, S.D.P.O Bhanjanagar and IIC Badagada police rush to the spot and initiated an investigation.
