Subhadra Yojana: Second Phase of First Installment to be Released on October 9, Confirms Odisha Dy CM
Bhubaneswar: Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida announced today that eligible beneficiaries of the Subhadra Yojana, awaiting their first installment of Rs 5,000, will receive the amount on October 9.
According to Parida, women who missed out on the first phase of the disbursement will be included in the second phase. Those who submit their applications by October 7 will have the money credited to their bank accounts on October 9.
“The second phase of the first installment will be disbursed on October 9 in Baripada, which has the highest number of beneficiaries under the scheme,” she added.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had launched the Subhadra Yojana on September 17, with 25,00,011 women receiving Rs 5,000 in their bank accounts on the launch day.
Over 1 crore women in Odisha are expected to benefit from the scheme, receiving Rs 10,000 annually in two installments—on Raksha Bandhan and International Women’s Day. Over five years, each beneficiary will receive Rs 50,000 under the scheme.
The Subhadra Yojana will be implemented between the 2024-25 and 2028-29 financial years, with a budget of Rs 55,825 crore.
