Subhadra Yojana Applicants Must Apply by March 31 to Receive Pending 2024 Installments: Chief Secretary 

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has announced that applicants for the Subhadra Yojana must submit their applications by March 31, 2025, to receive the pending installments for the year 2024.

This decision was made during a recent Cabinet meeting led by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, with Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja making the announcement.

The Subhadra Yojana, a women empowerment scheme, provides financial assistance to eligible women and young girls. The state government has decided to release two installments of Rs 10,000 each at one go to beneficiaries who apply before the deadline. This move aims to ensure timely disbursement of funds and support the beneficiaries in a more efficient manner.

Chief Secretary Ahuja emphasized the importance of meeting the application deadline to avail the benefits. “Eligible candidates who apply before March 31 will receive their first two installments of the year 2024 at one go,” he stated1. The scheme has already seen over 1.06 crore applications, with a significant number of beneficiaries having received their first installment.

The Cabinet also approved several other proposals, including enhancements to the pension amount for eligible pensioners and additional subsidies for rooftop solar panel installations.
