Sub Inspector of Police under Vigilance Scanner

ANGUL:Sri Pramod Kumar Naik, Sub Inspector of Police,Bantala Police Station (PS),Dist-Angul, has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance on 12.11.2021 while demanding and accepting bribe Rs.6,000/- (Rupees Six thousand) from a Complainant for release of Motorcycle seized in a case registered earlier in Bantala PS. The entire bribe money has been recovered from Sri Naik and seized.
In this connection, Cuttack Vigilance P.S. Case No.25 dt.12.11.2021 U/s 7 P.C. (Amendment) Act,2018 has been registered. Investigation in progress against Sri Naik. Simultaneous searches have been launched on properties of Sri Naik at 1 place in Angul and 1 place in Ganjam district respectively. Detailed report follows.
