ROURKELA; A week before in Badalgiri area two young boys from Rourkela had drowned which had shocked Rourkela and now another case has happened where again two students had drowned near Darjing picnic spot whose bodies were fished out today by divers of ODRAF team. The first body was recovered of Ayan Tak and later on Prasanna Sahu’s body was recovered. Both these students are from Basanti colony of Rourkela. It was the second day of drowning when these bodied were recovered. Parents of these two children are totally shocked and been under tremendous mental stress. The Chandiposh police had earlier seized both the bodies and had sent for post mortem, after the postmortem bodies of both the student were handed over to their respective families. Now there is wave of shock among parents of these types of young students and are now more vigilant about their movement, particularly on picnic site. These things have been happening every year but neither the parents nor the teachers or supervisors of the picnic team are serious about the safety of children. In many picnic spots locals have restricted movement of young children near river area which is welcomed by many parents and intellectuals.
