STF,ODISHA-WILDLIFE CRIMINAL APPREHENDED

Bhubaneswar:On the basis of reliable information, a team of STF conducted raid with the help of Banigochha Forest Officials on 04.11.2022 near Kuanria Dam under Dasapalla Police Station jurisdiction Dist. Nayagarh regarding dealing/possession of wildlife products by wildlife criminals, as a result of which one wildlife criminal namely Bhagabat Majhi @ Ramesh S/O Late Gopal Majhi of village: Bhogabadi PS. Dasapalla Dist. Nayagarh was apprehended.
During search 02 numbers Leopard Skin with other Wildlife products were recovered from his possession.
The accused person could not produce any authority in support of possession of such wildlife products, for which he has been arrested and is being forwarded to the court of JMFC, Dasapalla. In this connection STF PS Case No.25 dated 04.11.2022 U/s 379/411/120(B) IPC r/w. Sec.25/27 Arms Act, 1959 & Sec.51 of Wild Life (Protection) Act, 1972 was registered. Investigation is on.
