STF team Conducted raid; Seized Stolen Hard Coke, Charge Chrome, Iron Pellets

Bhubaneswar:On the basis of reliable information, a raid was conducted at different places of Dhenkanal under Dhenkanal district by STF team about illegal transportation/ storage of stolen hard coke, charge chrome, iron pellets by mafias on Wednesday.
During the raid the team was able to seize 230 tons of stolen hard coke, 5 tons Ferro Chrome, 03 tons iron pellets, 45 tons steam coke,07 tons iron rod, 04 numbers 14 wheeler truck loaded with steam coke and iron pellets, 02 JCBs, one 10 wheeler Hywa and other incriminating articles. Five accused persons were arrested. The accused persons could not produce any valid authority in support of transportation/ storage of such stolen hard coke, Charge Chrome, iron pellets & steam coke. This refers to STF PS Case No. 20/ 2021 U/s 379/411/413/120(B)/34 IPC . Investigation is on.
This year so far STF has taken strong action against such organized racket of cargo theft in various districts of Odisha and has seized huge quantity of hard coke (262 tons), Ferro Chrome (216 MT), Coal (150 tons), 23 number of heavy vehicles/ JCB/Hywa etc. In this connection 28 persons arrested/apprehended.
