STF NAB TWO PEDDLERS IN CONNECTION WITH POSSESSION OF ILLEGAL NARCOTIC DRUGS

Bhubaneswar:On the basis of intelligence input, a joint operation was conducted by STF, BBSR and Nayagarh district Police on 6/07.04.2022 near village Pithakhai, Bhapur under Fategarh PS against illegal possession of Narcotic Drugs and apprehended two accused persons namely Pramod Kumar Sahoo @ Kabuli S/o. Bhagaban Sahoo of village Kalanga PS. Bolagarh Dist. Khordha and Dasarathi Lenka S/o. Mathura Lenka of Pithakhai PS. Fategarh Dist. Nayagarh.
During search Ganja weighing 58 kg and other incriminating materials were recovered & seized from their possession. A case has been registered at Fategarh Police Station for necessary legal action. This refers to Fategarh Police Station Case No. 76/2022 U/s 20(b)(ii)(c)/29 of NDPS Act 1985. Investigation is on.
Special drive against drug peddlers is continuing. Since 2020, STF has seized more than 50 Kg of Brown Sugar/Heroin and more than 91 quintals of Ganja/Marijuna and arrested more than 135 drug dealers/peddlers.
