STAY AT HOME JANTA CURFEW, LOCKDOWN SUCCESS IN BERHAMPUR

BERHAMPUR:The self-imposed nation-wide Janta curfew began at 7 am and will continue till 9 pm,Its observed today in city People stay at Home.
The appeal from Vijaya Amruta Kulange,Collector Ganjam,SP,Brijesh Rai,SP, Berhampur inak Mishra and BeMC Commissioner Chakravartysingh Rathore people of Ganjam maintain the discipline and honour the appeal. The lock down and Janata curfew have been very successful. The roads are completely deserted.
All the commercial and business establishments baring essential services are closed in Berhampur all extending support to the JANATA CURFEW.
The public transport vehicles including buses, taxis, autorickhaws have also stayed off the roads across the Berhampur city today.
Amid the rising corona virus cases in the country, a voluntary shutdown following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’ and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik clarion call for ‘Janta Curfew’ has begun today.
Yesterday Collector Ganjam Vijay Amruta Kulange, SP, Berhampur Pinak Mishra appeal to the public in a Video message to support for the noble cause not only of our district as well as for the larger interest of our State and Nation. If one steps out of home, social distancing norms should be strictly followed.
Several services however have been exempted. The exempted services are as follows;
Offices charged with law and order and magisterial duties,Police,Health Sector, Urban local bodies, Fire Services, Electricity, Water and Municipal Services, Print and Electronic Media. Web Media, Social Media, Telecom & Internet Services including IT & ITeS,Postal services, Food, Groceries, Milk, Bread, Fruit, Vegetable, Meat, Fish and their transportation related activities and warehousing.
