State-level drawing competition organised to mark World Space Week

Sunabeda: A state-level drawing competition has been organized by the ‘Upbright Abacus’ organization in Semiliguda to mark the World Space Week. The Prize Distribution ceremony of the competition organized in Bright Star Conference Hall of Semiliguda. Social activist Shaik Ibrahim attended the function as  Chief Guest  presided over by Bhawani Acharya, Chair Person and Master Trainer  of the ‘Upbright Abacus, while senior teacher of ADAV High School and Life member of the Indian Red Cross Society Shaheda Parween graced the occasion as Guest of Honour and applauded the efforts of the ‘Upbright Abacus’ for  bringing  out the budding talents of Koraput region and also creating interest towards ” Space Science” among the children.

Raj Narsingh Panda, a physics teacher from Sunabeda VS Vidyalaya, joined as the keynote speaker to highlight the need for ‘Abacus education system, Vedic mathematics and robotics education towards the overall development of students’. In the junior category of the competition, Anwesha Sahu (Kalahandi) secured first position Pragya Parmita Sathua  (Nayagarh) – second and Sanaya Sahu (Sunabeda) – third, while in the junior category, Arpita Panda  got  first prize Souravi Patra – second, and Shubhshree Behera – third prize. Similarly, in the senior category, Pabitra Jani  secured first position Vivek Dutta – second and Bhumi Biswal – took the third place. All the winners were awarded by the guests and certificates were awarded to all the  participants of the Drawing  competition. Beautiful dances were performed by Antara Atoshi on the occasion.
