SRC,ODISHA ISSUES CLARIFICATION ON LOCKDOWN ORDER BY MINISTRY OF HOME AFFAIRS

Bhubaneswar: The Spcial Relief Commissioner (SRC) of Odisha on Sunday issued a clarification regarding Lockdown Order relating to Religious places/ Places of Worship, Hotels, Restaurants, Shopping Malls, etc.The Odisha SRC in a press note stated;

“The Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India vide Order No.40-3/2020-DM-I(A) dated 30.05.2020 have issued revised guidelines to the States/ UTs, among others, for opening of the Religious Places/ Places of Worship, Hotels, Restaurants & other Hospitality Services and Shopping Malls with effect from 08.06.2020 in areas outside the Containment Zones.

However, in the said order, the States/ UTs, based on their assessment of the situation, are authorized to prohibit certain activities outside the Containment Zones, or to impose such restrictions as deemed necessary.

In pursuance of the above orders issued by the Government of India, the Government of Odisha, on assessment of the situation, had directed vide Orders No.3057/&R&DM(DM) dated 01-06-2020 and No.3211/R&DM(DM) dated 04-06-2020 as follows;

All Religious Places/ Places of Worship for Public will continue to remain closed till 30th June, 2020.All Shopping Malls will continue to remain closed till 30th June, 2020.

Restaurants and Hotels will be permitted for home delivery/ takeaways of food including home delivery of food by aggregators such as Zomato, Swiggy, etc.

The above orders issued by the State Government is valid till 30th June 2020. This has further been reiterated in Order No. 3255/ R&DM (DM) dated 07-06-2020 and shall be strictly implemented.

The other aspects of the guidelines remain valid till 30th June, 2020 as well.

All concerned are accordingly advised to abide by the above order/ instructions without any deviation.”
