Spurious IMFL & Bottling Plant Unearthed in Berhampur

Berhampur:A major trading of spurious spirit store was unearthed in Berhampur police district on Thursday and one youth was arrested in this connection, said by Prabhar Routray,ASP,Berhampur.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of Bada Bazar policemen conducted a search operation at Ganapati Nagar 4th Line Panigrahi Pentho under Bada Bazaar police limit lead by Prashant Bhupati,Inspctor in Charge.and recovered a huge quantity of materials used for making adulterated liquor.
Huge quantities of adulterated foreign liquor, spirit, colour, tomato paste, syringe, stickers of different brands, plastic jars, weight machine among others were seized from the spot, sources said.
ASP,Routray said in his release,on getting credible information regarding preparation and bottling of duplicate, adulterated and duplicate as well as spurious IMFL of No1 Mc-Dowell Whisky going on at Ganapati Nagar 4th Line Panigrahipentho under Badabazar PS jurisdiction in clandestine manner, IIC Badabazar PS with his staff conducted raid on 18.08.2021 at 3 PM. During raid, in the house of above noted accused the above incriminating materials were seized. The accused was arrested on 18.08.2021 and is being forwarded to court today. The case is under investigation to unearth the involvement of other accused persons and to ascertain the amount of property accumulated by the accused by such business.
The samples of the seized spirit will be sent to a forensic laboratory for tests, he said.
The accuse identified as Rajaram Sahu (31) S/o Prakash Chandra Sahu of Ganapati Nagar 4th Line Panigrahipentho,PS-Bada Bazar.
