Special Health camp Organized by RSP in Jhirpani under CSR activities

ROURKLA: Rourkela’s periphery areas are mostly dominated by Tribal people and Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) has been consistently taking some steps to provide medical help to the people in need. In the process a Health Camp was organized by RSP under its CSR activities with Ispat General Hospital (IGH) in Jhirpani area of Rourkela on 7TH of this month. Almost 150 people were examined by Dr. Satyajit Mishra of O&G department and Dr. Jogesh from Pediatric department. Similar type of camp was organized in Sector-6 area on 3rd of this month by Dr. Aditya Das (Medicine) and Dr. Poonam Ekka(Paedetric) and the attendance was more than 100. In both these camps tests were done like fasting Blood sugar and other tests where samples were collected by J K Majhi. After due consultation with doctors and all the participants were given medicines as per the prescription by the doctors absolutely free. One awareness program was also conducted on Dengue, its effect and prevention. Leaflets on this was also distributed by the officials where all participants have opined that this type of program certainly helped them to know the problems in advance and due care can be taken thereafter if any problem identified. This program was appreciated by all and the program was coordinated by Moonmon Mitra, GM and Dushmanta Pradhan, DGM.
