Mumbai : SVKM’s NMIMS (Deemed-to-be University) recently hosted a grand inauguration ceremony for the Ph.D. Batch of 2024 at the prestigious Mukesh Patel Auditorium. This landmark event heralds the beginning of an enriching academic journey for a new cohort of scholars, who will delve into cutting-edge research across diverse disciplines, including Management, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Engineering, Science, Law, Statistics, Commerce, Economics, and Psychology. The ceremony not only celebrated the start of their doctoral studies but also underscored NMIMS’s commitment to advancing knowledge and fostering innovation.
The inauguration began with a heartfelt welcome by Vice Chancellor Dr. Ramesh Bhat’s inspired and emphasised NMIMS’ commitment to fostering a rigorous and innovative academic culture. The event featured a keynote address by Dr.ArchanaPai, Professor of Physics at IIT-Bombay. Dr.Pai’s insightful speech underscored the importance of perseverance, curiosity, and ethical research practices in achieving academic and professional success.
Following the keynote, the dean of various schools within NMIMS also delivered brief welcome addresses.
