Series Gambling Den Busted In Berhamour, 55Man 4 Women Arrested

Berhampur:At least 55 persons including 4 woman were detained after Berhampur police busted a series of gambling den in Bada Bazar,Sadar Gopalpur and Gosaninuagaon police limti.
The gambling activities were going on Thursday at about 05.30 PM the gambling was going on in the office of K.K.Enterprises Tour and Travels at Park Street, Berhampur owned by A.Kiran Kumar(40) S/O Late A.Tarini Rao of Prema Nagar, 6th line, PS-Bada Bazar. Getting reliable information raid was conducted and the above noted 8 accused persons were apprehended and cash of Rs. 48,850/-, 52 Nos. of playing cards with 7 Mobile sets were seized under seizure list .
During a surprise raid One Gambling ase detected at Phula Sundari Sahi , Badabazar PS . 10 men & 4 women detained . Seizure of Rs. 27,100 & 7 mobile phones were done.
One Gambling detected at Canal Street Haridakhandi with seizure of Playing cards, Rs. 17,200/-, 9 mobile phones and 13 accused persons were detained.
One 9 Gamblers apprehended & Rs. 19,200 seized by Sadar PS at Ankusapur Majhi Sahi.
On late night Gambling case detected by Gopalpur PS , Rs. 62,270 seized. 8 accused detained. 4 mobile phones seized.
One Gambling case detected by Gosaninuagan PS, 7 persons detained. Rs. 17,190/- & 7 mobile phones seized with playing cards.
While 50 gamblers were nabbed,several others managed to give the police team a slip. The surprise raid was conducted following the direction of Berhampur Superintendent of Police,Dr.Saravana Vivek M.IPS.
Cops have seized over one Lakh Cash,two wheelers,Mobile Phones and playing cards from the spot.
SP said adding that the raid was conducted following a tip-off.and will continue till end of the illegality.
At the end while filing the details are;59 accused arrested in total six (6) cases and Cash seized total Rs.1,91,810
