Sasya Reddy,IAS, Joined as   Commissioner of Berhampur Municipal  Corporation

Berhampur,(16/03/ 26):As of March 2026, Ms.Akavaram  Sasya Reddy, an IAS officer of the 2022 batch, has been appointed as the new Commissioner of the Berhampur Municipal Corporation (BeMC), succeeding Prathamesh Arvind Rajeshirke. She has taken charge, bringing a focus on the continued development of Berhampur. 

The state government has asked the IAS officer to get herself relieved of his current responsibilities immediately and join the new place of posting.

Ms.Sasya Reddy previously served as the Sub-Collector of Jeypore

 She succeeds 2021-batch IAS officer Prathamesh Arvind Rajeshirke, who was appointed in June 2025 following a push for an IAS officer to head the municipality.

 Her administration is expected to focus on urban development, infrastructure projects, and city-wide developmental initiatives, as welcomed by local community forums.
