Sandalwood Smugglers Arrested by Andhra Police

Paralakhemundi-On a hectic incident a gang of 11 smugglers of sandalwood searched by Andhra Pradesh Police. Among them 4 whisked away. SP Radhika of Srikakulam district said that they are tracing them. Among those smugglers Veerswamy Kodandam(40),of Malayambakam of Tamilnadu, ASominaidu(43)of Tridhampadu of Tirupati district of Andhrapradesh, Gudipallipratap(43)of Karnool district, SRajendraprasad(36) of Kotturu of Kadappa district, KDipa(31)of Jangitibanipalli, BLaxminarayan of Rampur ofAnnamaya district, with seized Aicher van 2 drivers KVijaysrinivasrai(30) & PRammohan(35) of Mudampalli of Nellore district, Markanda Sabat(27), Abhijit (21), Barika Pradhan(22) of Gandahati of Garabandha police station. Among those fled convicts Shaikhsahirbasa of Rajapet owner of Aicher van, Ganesh Kumar Panda seized car owner, Samuel of Gandahati & Pravin of Chennai to whom police is searching. From them 4.200kgs of sandalwood of 396 pieces seized. Alonwith Aicher van(AP39 NG 8886) & car(OD02AD1285), cash of Rs. 35000 & 14 mobile phone seized. Those seized materials will be costed 2 crores. Those accused have earlier 10 cases in various police station of Andhrapradesh.
