SAGARIKA ,IPS,TRAFFIC DCP BHUBANESWAR EARNS PRAISE FOR HELPING PREGNANT WOMAN

BHUBANESWAR:While the enforcement of COVID-19 lockdown measures was at its peak since months, people, who needed to travel to other places on urgent basis, had to acquire passes from the police authorities. The police also ensured that people travelling on emergency situation amid lockdown do not face hurdle during movement.
Taking into consideration the necessity of a pregnant woman stranded in Bhubaneswar, Twin City Traffic DCP Sagarika Nath had provided her travel pass, following which she managed to reach her native village in Kendrapara during the lockdown.
Later, on May 20 she gave birth to a girl child and her family members have thanked DCP Sagarika Nath for the help.
The woman’s husband Himshu Sekhar Daspattnaik took to Twitter to convey his deepest gratitude to the Traffic DCP. He wrote, “Madam, two month ago, I had asked you to provide a pass for my pregnant wife. She gave birth to baby girl on May 20 and she has been named ‘Sagarika’.
Briefing to scribe she said,“Glad we could be of help. Hope both the mother and baby are fine. My prayers are with them”.
