SAFETY INSPECTION CONDUCTED BY DRM AT RAYAGADA-SINGAPUR

Rayagada, January 20: Divisional Railway Manager(DRM) Saurabh Prasad along with ADRM (Infrastructure) and Senior Officers conducted Safety Audit of Level Crossing no. 252 between Ladda – Raygada and checked interlocked gate working & awareness about Safety rules and competency of railway staff employed at the gate. DRM also inspected the Singapur Road and Rayagada railway stations to check passenger amenities and safety works in progress. He interacted with the staff and checked all the registers at the gate to ensure proper documentation.
The safety inspection continued at Singapur Station yard in order to check compliance of various Safety items related to Over Head Equipment (OHE), Points & Crossings, track circuits etc. The team inspected various safety items related to yard layout, tracks, relay room, battery room and signals at Singapur Road and Rayagada Station yard in Rayagada- Koraput line to check compliance. He interacted with the station staff to gauge their awareness of safety rules and inquired about safety practices.
The motto of the safety audit was to ensure that safety protocols and rules were being followed diligently at the specified locations and station yards and enhance safety standards in railway operations.
