Rs 38.4 Cr Worth Cocaine Seized From Ghana Woman at Bengaluru Airport
Bengaluru: Around 3.186 kg of cocaine worth Rs 38.4 crore was seized by the personnel of the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) from a woman from Ghana at Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru.
The arrested Ghana national identified as Jennifer Abbe, arrived in Bengaluru from Doha, Qatar on Wednesday. Based on a tip-off, DRI officials detained her. During search, the contraband was discovered in her possession.
The woman has been arrested for further investigation to track down the syndicate behind the international drugs racket.
A few days back, two South African nationals were arrested in Bengaluru for smuggling and supplying MDMA, along with 37.87 kg of the drug, valued at Rs 275 crore.
