ROURKELAITES SANG TO THE TUNE OF BANDE UTKAL JANANI

ROURKELA,31/05/20:Our honorable CM, Naveen Patnaik has urged all the people of Odisha to pay respect for the corona warriors who have sacrificed everything to fight corona by singing our own song Bande Utkal Janani in the evening of 31st May, 2020. Naveen Patnaik has been a true leader and have created instance in managing corona smartly than many other CMs of India. He has been praised by GOI for his proactive work towards fighting corona. This time when he urged the people of Odisha to sing our song of Bande Utkal, people had come forward and fulfilled his wish. In the evening everywhere in Rourkela it was seen people are standing in groups maintaining social distancing sang this beautiful song which was written by the famous Poet, Laxmikanta Mohapatra when Odisha became a state in 1 April1936. It is a patriotic song the state song. Rourkela Municipal Corporation (RMC) had also made arrangements for singing this song in all wards and in important places. Even this song was sung in COVID-19 Temporary Medical Centre where all the inmates sang this beautiful patriotic song, maintaining social distancing. In containment zone, previously, also sang this song by paying respecting the corona warriors and to respect the state. Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) was involved in this prestigious singing and the CEO of the plant, Dipak Chattaraj with all his senior officers participate in the singing. Different political parties, socio-cultural organizations and the police stations have joined in this massive musical event in the evening and honored the corona warriors through this genuine singing. Everybody took their positions when the clock clicked 5.30 in the evening. Many people who are travelling by their own means, stopped for some time to sing and pay respect to the corona warriors. People living in all places of Rourkela including sector areas, Jagda, Shaktinagar, Chhend, Basanti colony, Civil Township have participated this unique musical event.
