Road Safety Awareness at Gajapati

Paralakhemundi:At Collectorate road safety awareness observed. Presided by ADM Sangramsekhar Panda, among others SP Jayram Satpathy, Sub Collector Dilip Kumar Maharana graced on dias. Through power point different status on accidents, immediate action after accidents, danger zone of the district covered under both NH & PWD where frequently accidents occurred regarding fixation of rumble strips to avoid major accidents. Unauthorized encroachment in main roads that caused road accident signals at ghar turning sections also discussed.
Recently pilot vehicle of SC & ST Minister metban accident where police personnel’s injured. Measures taken & various preventive measures to check such unavoidable accidents also discussed.
Discussed on the issues regarding improvement of parking zone at main market place of Paralakhemundi & regular patrolling of traffic to further reduce accidents. Regarding checking of vehicles more stress at NH than Paralakhemundi area where accidents occurred frequently. Some crowded zone like district head quarter hospital where encroachment of vegetables vendors caused accidents for patients & their relatives.
All department heads from district including police heads of various police station were attended. Regarding quantum of penalty for illegal movement of both 2 & 4 wheelers vehicles also discussed.
