RESTRICTIONS LIFTED ON CREMATION OF BODY AT PURI SWARGADWAR

PURI: The Puri district administration lifted the cremation restrictions at Puri Swargadwar as Covid-19 cases have considerably declined in the district.
After reviewing the present COVID situation, we have withdrawn the restriction imposed at Puri Swargadwar on cremation of bodies belonging to other districts said Puri Collector Balwant Singh.
Notably, the cremations of bodies at Swargadwar from outside the district were restricted till September 30 viewing the Covid-19 pandemic situation.
He made it clear that only the bodies of persons, who die due to other diseases or reasons, will be allowed for cremation at the crematorium in Puri.
