RESTORATION WORK TO SPEED UP TRAIN SERVICES AFFECTED RAYAGADA, KORAPUT

Rayagada, September 25: The restoration works are being carried out on warfooting at the site, where landslide occurred between Manabar- Jarati stations in KK line. Several train services got affected. A team of senior officials lead by Divisional Railway Manager Shri Saurabh Prasad reached the site and deployed heavy duty machinery and materials & engaged workers in large numbers to speedup the restoration works. Despite inclement weather, the restoration works are on war footing.
To avoid inconvenience of the people, several trains in this line were short terminated.
Train No.18107 Rourkela-Jagdalpur express leaving Rourkela was short terminated at Koraput and there was no service between Koraput – Jagdalpur.
The train No. 18447 Bhubaneswar-Jagdalpur Hirakhand express leaving Bhubaneswar on was short terminated at Koraput and there was no service between Koraput – Jagdalpur. The train No. 18005 Howrah-Jagdalpur Samaleswari express was short terminated at Titlagarh and returned from Titlagarh as 18006 to Howrah.
