‘Ready, Skilled, and Grow’ Orientation Training for New Technical and Administrative Staff Concludes at ICAR-RCER, Patna

Patna : The ICAR Research Complex for Eastern Region (ICAR-RCER), Patna, successfully concluded a three-day orientation training program titled “Ready, Skilled, and Grow” for newly recruited technical and administrative personnel. The valedictory session marked the end of the event, which focused on equipping participants with essential skills and fostering discipline. The program was organized under the leadership of Dr. Anup Das, Director, ICAR-RCER, Patna.

The valedictory session was presided over by Dr. Ashutosh Upadhyaya, In-Charge Director and Head of the Division of Land and Water Management, in the presence of scientists, technical staff and participants. The session began with a warm welcome by Dr. Arti Kumari, Scientist, setting a positive tone for the proceedings. Dr. Banda Sainath, Scientist, presented a detailed report on the three-day training, summarizing key activities and their outcomes. Dr. Ujjawal Kumar, Head of the Division of Socio-economic and Extension (DSEE) and Co-Chairman of the program, emphasized the critical role of the training in shaping the careers of the new recruits and improving the institute’s overall efficiency.

Dr. Abhay Kumar, In-Charge of PME and Convener of the program, highlighted the significant role of the training in contributing to participants’ professional development and long-term success. He emphasized that the training was designed not only to impart knowledge but also to prepare participants for future challenges and opportunities in their careers.

Dr. Kamal Sarma, Head, DLFM (Division of Livestock and Fisheries Management) underscored the importance of active engagement during the session. By encouraging participants to ask questions, Dr. Sharma aimed to create a dynamic and interactive learning atmosphere.

A key component of the program was an interactive session between newly recruited personnel and seasoned scientists. This session was intended to build a collaborative and positive work environment, allowing newcomers to benefit from the experience and insights of established professionals. It also provided a platform for knowledge exchange and networking, which are crucial for career growth and development. Additionally, certificates were awarded to all participants to recognize their involvement and achievements.

During  this event, Dr. Ashutosh Upadhyaya stressed the importance of discipline, politeness, and dedication as the foundation for professional success. In his closing remarks, he also emphasized that respectful communication fosters teamwork and harmony, both of which are essential for organizational success.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr.Anirban Mukherjee, Scientist, who expressed gratitude to all contributors and participants for their active involvement.
