Ravenshaw University withdraws order asking women staff, student to vacate campus by 5:30 PM

Cuttack: The authorities of Ravenshaw University in Cuttack of Odisha issued a notification on Friday that restricted female faculty, staff or student to remain in the University campus after 5.30 pm. However, soon the directive was withdrawn and it was said that a new SOP will come in this regard soon.

As per reports, the Registrar of Ravenshaw University in Cuttack on Friday issued an office order. The order reads, “No female faculty, staff and students are permitted to remain in the work place or on campus after 05.30 pm. This decision will remain in place until a formal SOP is issued, which will outline the necessary guidelines and protocols for work hours and safety measures.”

However, after a few hours only, the said office order was withdrawn. As per reports, the authorities withdrawn the order. The PR said that a new order in this regard will come soon.
