RAIL SAFETY INSPECTION IN RAYAGADA
Rayagada,(Badal Tah): Divisional Railway Manager, Waltair, Saurabh Prasad held a comprehensive safety inspection and review of the Third line works in the Rayagada-Ladda section of Waltair Division. The inspection, aimed at ensuring passenger safety and enhancing amenities, covered key stations along the route. Accompanied by Sudhir Kumar Gupta, ADRM(Infrastructure), Manoj Kumar Sahoo, ADRM (Operations) and other senior officials, Prasad thoroughly reviewed various aspects of safety and passenger comfort in the section.
The inspection commenced at Rayagada railway station, where Prasad and senior officials were engaged in planning and evaluating passenger amenities at the station. Special attention was given to enhancing drinking water facilities and passenger services on Platform No.3. The team also reviewed the arrangements for railway offices to ensure efficient operations. With a keen focus on safety, the inspection extended to reviewing crew booking and caution orders in connection with the commissioning of the Third line.
Window trailing inspection was conducted in stalling prone sections, including Kuneru-Jimidipeta, Jimidipeta-Ladda, and Ladda-Rayagada, to assess safety protocols and identify potential improvements. Emphasis was laid on the ongoing Third line works and station development activities at stations such as Ladda and Jimidipeta.
