Paralakhemundi:At 3 blocks eg, Gumma, Gosani & Kashinagar blocks of Gajapati paddy of huge quantities procured. Till date procurement started & by this time district administration should have started purchase of paddy at various mandis. But so far yet not any formalities started for purchase of paddy. So from Andhra those business persons are eyeing to purchase on cheaper rate that prescribed MSP as earlier by district. They use to purchase at ₹1150 for 83kgs.As pongal other festivals ahead so small & marginal farmers started selling on unavoidable circumstances. Those registered farmers yet to get messages of selling. On low quality paddy 5 to 10 kgs of paddy reduced from MSP. So Suryanarayan Patnaik farmers association President requested to solve their problems to district administration.
