Process Starts To Fill Up 1,353 Vacant Teaching Posts in Govt Universities In Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Under the New Odisha University Amendment Act, the vacant teaching posts across various universities in the State will be filled up soon, said state Higher Education Minister Suryabanshi Suraj on Tuesday.

Through this process, a total of 1,353 teaching posts in different state-run universities will be filled up.

Minister Suraj has already held a high-level meeting with the Vice Chancellors of all universities regarding this recruitment process and has directed them to provide detailed proposals for the recruitment of the teaching staff at the earliest. These vacancies of teaching posts will reportedly be filled up as per the provisions of the amended Act, which will streamline the recruitment process. The minister has clarified that for vacant non-teaching posts, however, recruitment will continue to follow the existing laws, as no amendments have been made in that area yet.
