Berhampur: Keeping in view of rapid Covid spike in city the team  of Press Club,Berhampur,Odisha converted the Press Club premises  for isolation facility exclusively for Media person and their family members. Sunday eight bed Isolation centre is fully functional with all arrangement with the support of Berhampur Municipal Corporation.

The proposal of home isolation centre at Press Club a noble gesture by the media fraternity of Berhampur. We support and all essential materials are being provided and the will be streamline very soon and we are under the process said, Sidheswar Baliram Bondar, Commissioner, BeMC, Berhampur.

Leading the team Sr.Journalist Sisir Panigrahy said “We have suggested the BeMC, Commissioner to set up home isolation centres to isolate patients who have no facility for isolation at their homes.

With rise in Covid-19 phase -2 cases, people testing positive in Berhampur are left with little option but to isolate themselves at home. However, it has become a big problem for our people who do not have ample space at their houses to remain isolated from their families. In general People with mild symptoms are advised home isolation. Recently we lost five Working Journalist while they discharge their duties for the society including one family member of our Sr.Journalist ,he added.
