President Murmu Visits Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri for Darshan of Deities
Puri: After reaching Puri on Wednesday morning, President Droupadi Murmu visited the Shree Jagannath temple to have darshan of the deities.
She was accompanied by Odisha CM Mohan Majhi during her visit to Srimandir. She prayed to the holy trinity for around 15 minutes inside the temple, reports said.
From the Shree Jagannath Temple, she reached the Gopabandhu Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya in Puri to attend the the 75th anniversary celebrations of the institution as the chief guest.
Later on the day, she will take part in the Navy Day celebrations and operational demonstrations at the Blue Flag Beach in Puri. On Thursday, the president will attend the 40th convocation ceremony of the Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) in Bhubaneswar and will inaugurate a judicial complex in the state capital.
On December 6, Murmu will meet students and residents at Uparbeda village, her birth place. On the same day, she will interact with students and teachers at the Mahila Mahavidyalaya in Rairangpur.
On December 7, the president will lay foundation for/inaugurate various projects, including the Bangiriposi-Gorumahisani, Buramara-Chakulia, and Badampahar-Kendujhargarh rail lines; a tribal research and development centre in Rairangpur; Dandbose Airport, Rairangpur; and sub-divisional hospital, Rairangpur.
