POLICE SUCCEEDS IN NABBING SEVEN DREADED DACOITS

Berhampur: Organised efforts by K.Nuagaon police have made it possible to nab a gang of seven dreaded dacoits with seizure of huge amount of cash and confiscated one toy pistol, one sword, one iron rod, one knife, one bag containing three live bombs, one TVS Jupiter and one TVS without regd. Number from the accused during commissioning the crime.
During intervening night of 29/30.07.2021 while K. Nuagaon PS staff performing night patrolling getting reliable source of preparation of dacoity by the above persons near Ghati-Kalua temple, located side of Chikiti-Tamana road, conducted raid and apprehended the above persons along with seizure of cash Rs. 61, 280/-(Sixty one thousand two hundred eighty rupees), one toy pistol, one sword, one iron rod, one knife, one bag containing three live bombs, one TVS Jupiter regdNo- OD-07-T-9237 and one TVS NTORQ-125 without regd. number. The above noted accused anti-social who were previously involved in a series of criminal cases and have created havoc at Dekhali Chhaka. They were wanted in K. Nuagaon PS Case No. 136/2021 U/s .147/148/323/324/307/506/149 IPC / 25/27 Arms Act / 4 & 5 Explosive Substance Act.in which on 15.07.2021 one Maruti Eco car regd No. OR 07X 9230, 4 Nos of Motor cycles, Five Nos of Sword, Five Nos of Live Bomb, remnants of exploded bomb were seized. Kuna Pradhan, Rajita Pradhan and Siba Pradhan are also wanted earlier by Digapahandi PS Case No. 116/2021 U/s 294/323/353/364/395/120-B/506 IPC in which they have committed kidnapping anddacoity from a forest guard near Digapahandi Forest Range office.
The arrested accused identified as Kuna Pradhan (21)RajitaPradhan (22) ,Sibaram Pradhan (22)Sankar Pradhan (19), Viku @ BikashaBehera (21) all are of village Dekhali, PS K. Nuagaon, Ganjam , Prasad Gouda (19),of village Bada Dumula, PS Digapahandi,Sanjaya Kumar Rana (21 of village Kolihala,PS Jarada, Dist. Ganjam
