POLICE STAGE FLAG MARCH IN VIOLENCE-HIT AREA AT BERHAMPUR TOWN

BERHAMPUR: Police conducted a flag march in  entire Berhampur Mahanagar Tuesday evening from 7PM to 9 PM.

All police station officers and OSAP staff took part in the flag march in view of Dushera,Kumar Purnima and Diwali in City.

The SP Berhampur,Pinak Mishra  said, during this festive season, which is followed by Dussehra, Kumar Purnima and Diwali the enforcement shall remain in effect from 7 PM to  till 10 PM. As all aware that this year the Durga Puja will be held in absence of any Puja Pandals as a safety measure in view of the highly infectious COVID-19 outbreak and the instruction from state which prohibits the festive. The drive to be in action nabs wanted criminals ahead of festival. The Police will also try to resolve all ongoing pending cases,anti-social drives  at  various police stations. He said.

The starts began from Sunday evening as regular routine basis by the instruction of SP. On Tuesday the Inspector in Charge of Baidyanathpur PS, Town PS,Gosaninuagaon PS,Bada Bazaar PS,Traffic PS and Sadar PS  jointly conducted the foot march and covered all sensitive areas.

Prabhat Routray,ASP said,we have already arrested many gambelers,five docayats,two hard core criminals, robbers as on day all they forwarded to the court in different sections. SDPO,City B.Pati and SDPO,Sadar JK Mohapatra lead the March. This Foot march is a continuous process till the end of Diwali,
