Police Seized Ganja and arrested 3 Mafias’

Nabarangapur,(Kosagumuda): Police have seized over 25 kg of Ganja, from a Mafia group and arrested three persons, an Official said on Thursday.
On direct supervision of SDPO,Aditya Sen., Nabarangapur, acting on a tip-off, a team of Kosagumuda Police while conducting the routine patrolling on Thursday at Neigaon-Gumuduli Jn. they detected two bike rider carrying contraband Ganja weighing over 25 KGs., The team confirmed from the Mafias’ that they are carrying Ganja for disposal to a vendor (!).
In connection the team of have arrested a gang of Drug Mafia. They were identified as Suresh Mandhara, of Badadwara Street,Arjuna Harijan and Rinku Yadav.
Police have recovered the Ganja and seized the Bikes in presence of Tehesildar,Siba Prasad Patnaik,SDPO,Aditya Sen and IIC,Kosagumuda Durga Madhab Bagh.
In this connection a case has been registered u/s 20(b) (ii) (c) /25 NDPS act and the accused persons have been forwarded to the court.
The probe is still ON. Effort is being made to trace the racket involved in drug trafficking.
