POLICE FOIL DACOITY BID IN GANJAM

GANJAM,(Hinjili):With the arrest of eight members of a gang, police Friday claimed to have foiled a  major dacoity bid in Odisha’s Ganjam district.

One 7.65 mm Pistol with a live ammunition,02 live bombs,sharp edged deadly weapons, Swords,Chilly powder, 02 bikes from their exclusive conscious possession.

Suryamani Pradhan,SDPO,Aska told,they were nabbed while plotting a dacoity,” Hinjili Police busted the gang of dacoits while they were assembled at rest-shed of village Gopinathpur, NH-59 to prepare dacoity from nearby Patrol pump.

Subsequent information reveal that the  gang was involved in a number of robbery and dacoity cases in NH-59. During their intorigation all they confronted of their dayto day activity to Police.
