It has been very heartbreaking to have the information about poisonous gas leak ed from LG Polymers plant in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh in the wee hours of 7th May. This plant basically uses toxic chemical styrene which is highly inflammable and toxic in nature and is usually used in making synthetic rubber and resins. This reminds us the tragic accident happened in the year 1984 in Union carbide India Ltd, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh where 3787 precious lives had lost. Was a black day in the history of India, horrifying VDO is also viral in social networking sites, seeing people becoming unconscious on roads and lanes (not confirmed by reliable sources). Till now ten lives have lost and more than thousands affected persons are undergoing treatments in various hospitals in Vizag. Usually hospitals are receiving complaint of breathing problem. The worst affected areas are nearby areas of the plant. The district collector has said, all required measures are being taken to tackle the situation and more than 20 Ambulances are pushed in to help the victims.
