Moscow : Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Moscow on Monday for a pivotal two-day visit to Russia, marking his first trip to the country in nearly five years. The visit aims to strengthen the longstanding strategic partnership between India and Russia, focusing on enhancing cooperation across various sectors including trade, energy, and defence.
During the 22nd India-Russia annual summit scheduled for Tuesday, PM Modi and President Vladimir Putin will discuss ways to further expand bilateral relations.
“Our strategic partnership with Russia spans diverse domains, from energy to people-to-people exchanges,” PM Modi said before departing for Moscow. He expressed eagerness to review all aspects of bilateral cooperation with President Putin and discuss regional and global issues of mutual interest.
