Plantation Programme Organised in Kendriya Vidyalaya

Sunabeda:Junior Red Cross Counselors of Koraput District Branch organised a tree Plantation programme in the premises of Kendriya Vidyalaya, N.A.D, Sunabeda. Principal of the School Anant Narayan Meher attended the programme as the Chief Guest. He highlighted the importance of trees in our life and said “Trees are a great asset and boon to human race. They benefit us in various ways. The lives of men and other animals and insects are inconceivable without the existence of trees in the world,” Assistant Professor of Central University of Odisha Dr Veerendra Kumar Sadangi and Dr Sarbeswar Barik graced the occasion as Guest of Honour and also planted different saplings in the school. Senior teachers of Kendriya Vidyalaya Samir Kumar Kalash and Purusottum Sahu along with Life member of IRCS, Shaik Ibrahim, District JRC Resource Person  Shaheda Parween, Junior Red Cross Counselor Jyoti Ranjan Nanda, Alok Kumar Rout, Jyoti Ranjan Sahu, Ranjit Kumar Sethi planted different varieties of fruit bearing plants in the campus of Kendriya Vidyalaya. During his thanks giving address Mr. Samir Kr Kalash applauded the efforts of the Red Cross members and emphasized on the maxim “Plant a tree to save our planet” during this Pandemic COVID-19 period
