Peon Dare to Demand Bribe & Caught by Vigilance

Berhampur:Monday at 5.10 PM accused Kashinath Panda, Retd. Peon of Asks Sub Treasury along with accused Susanta Kumar Mishra, Jr.Clerk, S.R. High School, Dharakote, of Ganjam was caught red handed in Aska Sub Treasury premises while demanding and accepting illegal gratification of Rs.5000/- from the Complainant Gopal Krushna Dalabehera, Asst. Teacher of S.R. High School, Dharakote for preparing his arrear salary bill.
According to vigilance official the bribe money of Rs.5000/- was recovered from the left side full pant pocket of accused Kasinath Panda. Chemical reaction of both the hands and left side pant pocket wash of accused Kashinath Panda was positive. The residence of the accused Susanta Kumar Mishra at Pitala, Dist- Ganjam and Kashinath Panda at Aska are being searched.
