Peaceful Candle Light Condolence Rally held at Rayagada
Rayagada (Badal Tah): A Peaceful Candle Light Condolence rally was conducted from Gandhi Park to old bus stand, Rayagada, which was led by Zilla Soundhika Seva Sangh, Rayagada for paying tribute to victim Rachana Sahu, a three months pregnant lady, D/o Chakradhar Sahu, Jaguguda, Bandhugaon Block, Dist-Koraput. The rallists demanded justice for her dowry death. They blamed her husband Anil Kumar Choudhury S/o Nageswar Choudhury along with his family members residing at Beheraguda, Semiliguda for torturing her and demanding more and more dowry. She got married during March, 2024 and this incident happened after ten months while she was pregnant. Zilla Soundhika Seva Sangh, Rayagada and other associations namely Amalabhatta Hanuman Temple Committee, Gayatri Parivar, Saipriya Walkers Club, Saipriya Ladies Walkers Club, Rayagada Walkers Club, GCD Walkers Club, Jhanjabati Walkers Club and other Community People from Kotapeta & Maligaon villages took part in the rally. Prominennt leaders of Sundhi Sangha namely Padmana Choudhury, Subash Behera, Bhaskar Labala, Balaram Coudhury, Rajendra Kumar Sahu, Malati Choudhury, Suresh Choudhury were present in the rally alongwith Dushmanta Kumar Mohanty, Sudhir Mishra, K S N Sharma, K Aruna, Dasharathi Rajguru. The people, who assembles during the rally, took a vow to take this fight to a logical end and demanded that the culprits of this demonic nature be hanged as soon as possible.
