Patangi Sub-Registrar’s Office has embezzled large sums of money.

PATANGI,(Koraput):Three government employees have been suspended for failing to deposit Rs 6 crore in stamp duty at the sub-registrar’s office.  A criminal case has been registered against clerk Sudhir Sahu while action has been taken against them.  Eber Tahsildar Haripada Mandal, Additional Tahsildar Mahadev Bhatra and former Tahsildar Arun Kumar Khanda, who were in charge of the Deputy Registrar at the time, have been suspended.  Since 2014, the three government officials and clerks have been embezzling crores of rupees.  A few days later, action was taken against the clerk.  There were two OAS and one ORS in the incident.  About Rs 4 crore has not been deposited in stamp duty.  According to the information obtained, there were two OAS and one ORS in charge of the Deputy Registrar’s Office.  Sudhir Sahu, the clerk at the time, had not deposited crores of rupees in revenue.  He was transferred to Bandhugaon in January last year.  An audit was then conducted at the Deputy Registrar’s Office.  All the money was found in the audit.  The Department of Revenue then suspended two OAS and one ORS employee.  Ten days ago, Sudhir was handed over to District Magistrate Abdal M.  Akhtar has been suspended and is now back.  Today, the Sunabeda SDPO was searching for him, but his body was not found.
