“Party Does Not Require Me”, Brugu Baxipatra Resigns from BJP
Bhubaneswar (Odishabarta): BJP got a major shock ahead of the elections as its state vice president and senior leader Bhrugu Baxipatra resigned from the party on Wednesday.
He sent a resignation letter to the BJP state president, Manmohan Samal.
Baxipatra in his resignation letter wrote, “With a heavy heart, I am tendering my resignation from the primary membership of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). As a member for 23 years, I have put my best efforts for the growth of the party in the state. I have executed every single responsibility that I was assigned, with utter sincerity and diligence. I am grateful to the party for using my services to strengthen its organizational and political base in the state”.
“However, lately, I have realized that the party does not require me or my contribution anymore. Therefore, I have decided to move on. I will continue to serve the people of Odisha and work towards the development of our state. I request you to kindly accept my resignation,” he added.
According to political circles, Baxipatra is likely to join the BJD.
