PARABA THE FESTIVAL WILL START IN NERDYBALSA

Koraput:A preparatory meeting for the Lok Mahotsav Paraba-2021 has been held at the auditorium of Shahid Laxman Nayak Medical College in Koraput.  The district culture committee was chaired by Koraput district Chairman Abdal M. Akhtar and all the district legislators were present, as well as intellectuals and journalists from the city.  The three-day festival will be held on December 17, 18 and 19 at the upcoming Koraput Government College grounds.

The inauguration of the Lok Mahotsav Paraba is scheduled to begin at Neredibalsa in Kotia Panchayat.The next three days of the program will be broadcast live on Doordarshan or DD India.

Koraput MLA and District Planning Committee Chairman Raghuram Padal, Jeypore MLA Tara Prasad Bahinipati, Laxmipur MLA Prabhu Jani, Pattangi MLA Pitam Padi  Bishwal, Koraput SP Barun Gunthapali, Hemkant Sai, Project Director, District Rural Development Agency, Pankaj Patra, Kotpat MLA and State Minister for Handloom and Textile Industries, Nabarangpur MP Baikuntha Mandal, Koraput  Jaipur sub-district magistrate Gopinath Sarka was present.  The festival will feature tribal and folk dances in undivided Koraput district, Odisha and the country, the district chairman said, adding that the festival will be celebrated at the panchayat and gram panchayat levels as every year.  The road to the village of Umuri in the city was worshiped to make the hilly land a festive field.

The district Chairman said the decision would be taken after the committee visited the land and submitted a report. He said there would be district-level cultural, sports and football competitions.The meeting was chaired by Jagannath Prasad Rayaguru, District Information and Public Relations Officer.
