OPSC Announces Tentative Date for Postponed Civil Services Prelim Exam 2023
Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has announced a provisional date for the Odisha Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2023, scheduled to take place on December 15, 2024 (Sunday). This decision follows the initial postponement of the exam originally slated for October 27 due to the impact of Cyclone Dana, which hit the Odisha coast on October 25.
In an official notification, OPSC stated, “The Commission has decided to conduct the Odisha Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination-2023, pursuant to Advt. No. 20 of 2023-24 tentatively on 15.12.2024 (Sunday). Detailed programme on the said examination shall be notified later.” Candidates are advised to regularly check the OPSC website at www.opsc.gov.in for the latest updates and detailed information.
The examination process will encompass two main stages for the recruitment of 399 positions across various services, including Odisha Administrative Service (OAS), Odisha Finance Service (OFS), Odisha Police Service (OPS) and Odisha Revenue Service (ORS). The preliminary exam will feature objective-type questions, and successful candidates will advance to the written Main examination. Final selections will be based on the Main exam scores, followed by personal interviews.
