OPPORTUNITY DUE TO COVID19 GIVES RISE TO MENACE OF GAMBLERS’IN GANJAM

GANJAM,(Hinjili):As many as 26 persons were arrested in a major crackdown on 02 gambling dens at village Pochilima under Hinjili PS limit in Ganjam police district police on Thursday.
On Thursday police busted two different gambling dens village Pochilima, Hinjili police limits of Ganjam district. Acting on reliable information, a police team raided a house and arrested 26 persons. The police seized Rs 1,67,300/- cash, 12 motorcycles, 17 mobiles, playing cards and food packets were seized from the spot.Suryamani Pradhan,SDPO, said all the accused will be forwarded to court.
In another case of Polosara Police in Ganjam detected a gambling den at village Bhabarada and arrested 05 gamblers with seizure of Cash Rs.28,500/-.
