ONLINE CRICKET BETTING RACKET BUSTED IN BERHAMPUR,

The Superintendent of Police Dr.Saravana Vivek,M said to scribes arrested five book makers who were involved in cricket betting for an IPL match on Tuesday.TheGosaninuagaon police caught them with good amount of seizure

They were identified as ; Dipu Nahak@ Anda Dipu, (32) of Kanishi Hata, PS-Golanthara ,Kittu Rout @ Kitush(36) Kanishi Hata, P.S.-Golanthara,Aswini Kumar Patro @ Lekhu( 31) ofKanishi Hata, P.S. Golanthara,rasanta Kumar Sahu @ Pintu,(38) of Kabisurya Nagar,P.S. – Kabisurya Nagar,At/Pre-Tulu Road, Kanishi Hata, P.S. – Golanthara,Gopinath Maharana @ Gopi(28) of Tulu Road, Kanishi Hata, P.S. – Golanthara,

The Police have successfully seizedCash – Rs. 4,56,900/-, of different denominations, 9 Mobile Phone Handsets ,One KIA Car(OD-07-AK-4224) , and,203.96 grams of gold ornaments.

Further Dr Vivek added that,on 15-05-2021 evening Gosaninuagaon PS staff acting on a credible information regarding IPL online betting organised by Dipu Nahak @ Anda Dipu , police, detected five persons involved in online betting inside a white KIA SELTOS Car bearing Registration Number – OD07-AK-4224 using their respective Cell phones. They were found engaged in betting through websites :1. www.agawscf.skyexchange.com, 2. www. agawscf. skyinplay.com, 3. https://ag.richbet444.com 4.www.jeesky.in& 5.www. kingexchange.com. which are not legal in India Dipu Nahak @ Anda Dipu is the prime accused of this case who conspired with other accused persons and created distribution links purchasing them from the Stockist of outside since last 5 years. He has created user ID and Password on those websites with a view to facilitate IPL betting online. Dipu Nahak @ Anda Dipu has induced a numbers of Sellers/ Retailers, assigning them with various user IDs and Passwords in those websites with a view to facilitate and organize betting online and thereby amassed huge amount of money.

The accused persons were arrested yesterday and being forwarded to court today. A case- has been registered in Gosaninuagaon Police station U/S 294-A/420/120-B/34 IPC/R.W Sec. 4&5 of PCMCS (Banning)Act, 1978 The investigation of the case is in progress
