Odisha Vigilance Raids Forest Range Officer, Cash Found Concealed In Toilet Flush Tank
Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Vigilance sleuths on Thursday began raids on Forest Range Officer, Dhenkanal Range, Bibhudananda Mishra over allegation of possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
Simultaneous house searches are being carried out by teams comprising 7 DSPs, 1 assistant commandant, 6 inspectors, 6 ASIs, and other supporting staff on the strength of search warrants issued by Special Judge, Vigilance, Cuttack, at 8 places in Dhenkanal, Cuttack, and Bhubaneswar.
The officer attempted to conceal cash at all probable locations and two bundles were retrieved from the toilet flush tank, a Vigilance release said.
Searches are on at the following places:
1) Triple-storey building at Ratna Bazaar, Dhenkanal.
2) Double-storey building at Ratna Bazaar, Dhenkanal.
3) E C Broiler farm (farmhouse) at Rahangol, Athagarh, Dist-Cuttack.
4) Flat No.201 at Brinda Basera, GGP Colony, Rasulgarh, Bhubaneswar.
5) Paternal house at Birakishorepur, Athagarh, Cuttack district.
6) House of his relative at Dhenkanal.
7) His office chamber at Dhenkanal.
8) Residential government quarters at Dhenkanal.
