ODISHA STF BRANCH BUSTS ILLEGAL TRADE OF NACROTIC DRUGS

BHUBANESWAR:On the basis of reliable information STF,Odisha detected a case of illegal trade of narcotic drugs in Balsore.
On the basic of intelligence input, a raid was conducted with the help of Balasore police near Hotel Jjyoti Sagar, Sahadev Khunta against illegal trade of narcotic drugs, as a result of which three accused persons namely;Sk Jamir@Chhotu, of Masjid Galli,Arada Bazaar,Prabhat Kumar Sethy, of Naya Bazar and Jasobant Bagh @Sukuras of Kasimela all are under the PS limit of Sahadev Khunta,Balasore apprehended.
During search Brown Sugar weighing 1kg 105 gram, cash Rs 85,680/- and other incrementing materials were recovered and seized from their possession.
The accused persons could not produce any validity authority in support of possessions of such contraband material, for which the accused persons were arrested on Friday and forwarded to the court of district & session judge Balesore.
In this connection STF PS case number 28 dated 06/11/20 has been registered u/s 21C/29 NDPS act 1985.
The STF DIG, JN Pankaj informed that during our continued drive in 2020 so far STF alone has seized 23 Kg.273 gms of Brown Sugar and detected 25 cases including this against the drug peddlers and arrested as many as 47 peddlers. The investigation is ON.
