ODISHA SHUTS DOWN 8 TOWNS AND 5 DISTRICTS TILL MARCH 29 TO STOP SPREAD OF CORONAVIRUS

Bhubaneswar: A press release from Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) said, for a lockdown of eight towns and five districts including Cuttack and state’s capital Bhubaneswar in order to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus, or Covid-19, outbreak.

Taking all necessary measures to contain the spread of the deadly Novel Corona virus, the State government has till now shut schools, hostels, shopping malls where the spread of the virus is more.

Notably,Odisha in India has become the first state to go for a lockdown to contain spread of the novel corona virus.

These districts are Khurda, Ganjam, Cuttack, Angul and Kendrapada, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Balasore, Bhadrak, Puri, Jajpur Road, Jajpur Town, and Rourkela.These 13 places will be in a lockdown from 7 am of March 22 to 9 pm of March 29.
