Koraput, Dec 27:In a meeting organized by the Koraput Bar Association today, lawyers spoke about how to make the best use of technology and reach out to the poor and underprivileged who are not benefiting from the justice system. He went on to describe the plight of the tribal people in the fifth scheduled area, such as Koraput, and how he fought for the innocent people who had been displaced by the mining crisis in Jharkhand. In the case of cannabis smuggling in the Koraput area, many innocent people in the area have not been able to move forward with the complicated process of the justice system, and now their lawyers can properly represent their clients in such cases through technology. He inaugurated the e-filing and VC cabin at the Jaipur district judges court premises today, while promising to create similar opportunities within the Koraput court premises. He hopes that the technology will help lawyers efforts to make the law more accessible to the public. Ajit Patra, president of the Bar Association, said the Chief Justice speech and presence today would inspire lawyers.
